ATLANTA — Some of the most popular restaurants in Buckhead have officially signed on for the 2016 Taste of Buckhead.
“This is just the beginning,” said Smita Solanki, Executive Director of the BBA. “Taste of Buckhead provides attendees with a great opportunity to sample the best that Buckhead has to offer, while restaurants have the chance to showcase their flavors for the community. It’s no surprise, this event has grown into one of the premier food events in the city of Atlanta.”
Participating restaurants include 1Kept, 521 Kitchen & Que, A Piece of Cake, Bhojanic, Davio’s, Del Frisco’s, Doraku Sushi, Eclipse di Luna, Georgetown Cupcake, Georgia Grille, JW’s Nox Creek, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Meehan’s Public House Buckhead, Smokebelly BBQ, St Cecilia and The Big Ketch. Participating beverage vendors are Anheuser-Busch, Bombay Sapphire, J.R. Revelry Bourbon Whiskey, Stoli Vodka, Urban Tree Hard Cider and Virgil Kaine Whiskey.
Additional participants will be announced as they are confirmed.
This year’s Taste of Buckhead is scheduled for Sept. 15 at The Stave Room at American Spirit Works, a new event space in Buckhead. The Stave Room is located in a space previously occupied by Mason Murer Art Gallery in the trendy Sweetwater Design District.
Hosted by the Buckhead Business Association (BBA), this popular event brings together more than 30 chefs and representatives from some of Buckhead’s most popular restaurants for a one-of-a-kind, upscale tasting event. This year’s Taste of Buckhead will also see the return of a silent auction following a one-year hiatus and a VIP experience.
General admission tickets for the event are $50. VIP tickets, which include an exclusive tour of the distillery, specialty cocktails and exclusive food samples, are available for $75.
Instead of a wine wall that the event has featured in previous years, the event this year will feature a spirit wall. Attendees can purchase a ticket for $20 and take home a spirit that has been donated; proceeds will benefit the Buckhead Business Foundation, the charitable arm of BBA. The Foundation will in turn donate the funds to The Giving Kitchen.
Gas South is returning as a presenting sponsor this year. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the newly re-launched tasteofbuckhead.org.
